Special Projects

Keisa Reynolds is a queer Black feminist writer, community educator, and non-profit consultant.

Keisa learns from and follows the legacies of anti-violence advocates, mental health workers, prison abolitionists, Black girls/gurls/grrls, LGBTQIA+ youth, and freedom fighters. Keisa is a co-founder of Just Practice Collaborative, which exists to build our communities’ capacity to effectively and empathically respond to intimate partner violence and sexual assault without relying primarily on police or other state-based systems.

At Freedom Lifted, Keisa supports marketing strategies and jumps in whenever needed to help move projects forward.

Originally from Richmond, CA, Keisa has a MA in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies from Loyola University Chicago and a BA in Cultural Studies from Columbia College Chicago. They live in Northern California with their husband and child.
