Learning Lab Faq’s

1. Can anyone participate in the online courses?

Both the online courses and trainings are designed for people 13 years old and older. Although previous exposure to social justice issues is useful, there is no specific preparation needed.  Participants should be ready to reflect on their own experiences and open to learning from others.

2. Are the courses neutral and impartial?  

No. The courses are designed to advance justice and facilitated with the following assumptions:  

  • Oppression exists.

  • Social justice is desirable.

  • The goal of social movement work is collective liberation.

  • An effective educational approach to this work is through a historical context and moving forward with both compassion and accountability.

  • Everyone has work to do.

3. How much do the courses cost?

Courses specifically designed for youth ages 13 - 17 are currently free of charge and supported by donations. Other courses are have fees listed.

The fees for live add-on sessions to online courses will be provided via quote based on the length of the engagement and number of participants. Scholarships and discounts may be available upon request. We are willing to work with limited budgets.
