About Mia

Hi, I’m Mia! I’ve spent more than two decades starting and leading social justice organizations, serving as founding director, executive director, and co-director.

All of these roles offered me opportunities to teach, coach, and facilitate in spaces with progressive leaders of all ages who are actively imagining and building a more equitable and just world.

If you’re looking for supportive, relationship-based facilitation with an equity lens, I’d love to see what we can do together!

Your Options

There are 3 ways to work with Mia as a facilitator and coach.

Cultivating Inner Power

This self-paced coaching course is designed for leaders who work on justice & equity in their organizations and communities.

You can get this on your own or gain access if you have coaching sessions with Mia.

The Shared Power Retreat

Our Shared Power retreats are for BIPOC and multiracial teams who are sharing leadership roles in nonprofit organizations. We engage co-leaders in self-reflection, conversations, and planning that helps them build an effective, sustainable, and joyful shared leadership model.

Shared Power retreat topics are based on the 8 Conversations That Matter Most for Shared Leadership.

In addition to the retreats, participants receive 1:1 sessions with Mia and online course modules. Shared Power retreats are offered both virtually and in-person.

The Staying Power Retreat

Staying Power retreats are designed for Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) who belong to the same organization or coalition.

Shared Power retreat topics are based on the following topics:

1) Setting Boundaries

2) Caring for Self

3) Managing Time

4) Leading with Confidence

In addition to the retreats, participants receive 1:1 sessions with Mia, access to Cultivating Inner Power, and a downloadable workbook. Staying Power retreats are offered both virtually and in-person.
